The National Institute of Packaging, Handling, & Logistics Engineers (NIPHLE) is an assemblage of professionals whose interests in the complex and diverse practice of packaging, handling, and logistics is a common bond. The Institute was constituted on August 8, 1956 in Washington, D.C. with the objective of improving communication between industry and government practitioners in these related areas of endeavor. The degree to which success has been achieved is measured in the growth and diversity of membership which has resulted.

ABOUT US
On August 8, 1956, the National Institute of Packaging, Handling & Logistics Engineers (NIPHLE) was formed in Washington, D.C., whose aim was to improve communications between the US Military and Industry.

An interested group of dedicated packaging, logistics, distribution and engineering professionals carried the banner for NIPHLE for the past 50 years.
Recently, there has been a genuine interest for NIPHLE participation from University researchers, High Tech Small Business, Material Science Subject Matter Experts and traditional companies with a focus new technology solutions to broaden support for the Warfighter and to improve the packaging, handling and logistics methods for the US Military.
NIPHLE has grown from a handful of individuals, with a traditional focus upon logistics and material handling to today's explosive demands for innovation without incurring added costs.
So, come join NIPHLE as we enter an exciting period of rapid growth and innovation to better protect the Warfighter. We invite you to meet the demands for evolving US Military requirements for better, cheaper, safer, more secure, and sometimes lighter loads - to protect the Warfighter.
