ABOUT US

On August  8, 1956, the National Institute of Packaging, Handling & Logistics Engineers (NIPHLE) was formed in Washington, D.C., whose objective was to improve communications between the US Military and Industry.

An interested group of dedicated packaging, logistics, distribution and engineering professionals  carried the banner for NIPHLE for the past 50 years.

Recently, there has been a genuine interest for NIPHLE participation  from  University researchers, High Tech Small Business, Material Science Subject Matter Experts and traditional companies with a focus new technology solutions to broaden support for the Warfighter and to improve the packaging, handling and logistics methods for the US Military.

NIPHLE has grown from a handful of individuals, with a traditional focus upon logistics and material handling to today's explosive demands for innovation without incurring additional costs.

So, come join NIPHLE as we enter into a very exciting period of rapid growth and innovation to better protect the Warfighter.  We invite you to meet the demands for evolving US Military requirements for better,  cheaper, safer, more secure,   and,  sometimes lighter loads -  to  protect  the Warfighter.
