Annual NIPHLE Design Competition
22023 NIPHLE Design Awards
The NIPHLE Design Awards are presented each spring during the annual NIPHLE national training to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to government and industry packaging design. The 2023 NIPHLE Annual Training will be held onsite at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey from May 8-11, 2023.
Awards will be presented during the NIPHLE Annual Awards Banquet, Hilton Garden Inn, Rockaway, New Jersey on the 10th of May 2023. Recipients will be selected from either government or industry.
The Selection Process for Design Awards
Nominations must state the category in which the nominee is to be judged and include the name, address, phone number, employer, and the position title of both the nominee and the nominator. Sufficient detailed information about the nominee’s design must be provided to allow the judges to score the design package without additional research to obtain information about the type and value of their design.
Anyone may submit a nomination except members of the design committee. Any individual in the packaging, materials handling or logistics field may be nominated, whether they are a member of NIPHLE or not. Judging is based solely on the nominee’s design package. The submitted design should have been completed sometime within calendar year 2022. Awards are provided to the first, second and third place packages. The overall best nomination package regardless of category will be awarded the Lapidus Trophy instead of 1st place as the best overall design submitted. Nominations should be limited to not more than 6 pages and 4 photos using the format below. Winners may display their package at the NIPHLE training. Logistics costs in each category will be the responsibility of the organization.
NIPHLE Awards packages must be submitted electronically to Ms. Jennifer Smith, jensmith6363@gmail.com and Mr. Jim McCorry, jmccorry@agmcontainer.com.
Deadline for receipt of package submission is 01 March 2023. The following is the list of NIPHLE design awards categories:
