John C. Wilford
Memorial Award
The John C. Wilford Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to the field of packaging by a NIPHLE member was established in 1968. This award was established by Mr. Leonard L. Barol of Philadelphia, a charter member of NIPHLE and a close friend of Mr. Wilford.

Nominations

All persons with an interest in packaging, handling or logistics are urged to nominate eligible persons to receive an Achievement Award.Nominations must state the field in which the nominee is to be judged and include the name, address, phone number, employer and position title of both the nominee and the nominator. Sufficient detailed information about the nominee's accomplishment must be provided to allow the judges to score the nominee without additional research to obtain information about the type and value of his or her accomplishments.A copy of the nomination, complete with supporting documentation, should be mailed to the Chairperson, Awards Committee, National Institute of Packaging, Handling and Logistics Engineers, 177 Fairsom Court, Lewisburg, PA 17837-6844, niphle@dejazzd.com. 

Eligibility Requirements

Any individual in the packaging, materials handling or logistics field may be nominated, whether or not a member of the Institute. There shall be no time limitation with respect to the contribution made by the individual. Anyone may nominate candidates, except members of the Awards Committee. Judging is based on the nominee's total contribution to the field rather than to a particular project or period of time.
